Job Purpose and Impact

The Trade Execution Generalist will provide support on trading related activities to enable the trading team to achieve customer goals. In this role, you will partner with commercial team and other functions, handle trade entry, amendments and scheduling. You will lead position maintenance, vessel nomination, cash book preparation and maintenance, as well as various reporting and ad-hoc requests which arise on a regular basis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support trade capture, trade entry, amendments of contractual data and valuation parameters.
  • Support nominations, provide vessels names to customers within deadlines.
  • Keep the position of the desk updated throughout the day with trades, nominations and date changes and perform reconciliation of daily positions.
  • Prepare and maintain cashbook and list of open cargoes and vessels.
  • Help traders in collate and report market indicators used for dashboard.
  • Collate data and create the balanced scorecard document on a monthly basis.
  • Support ad hoc requests to collaborate with global teams to rectify issues.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Shipping contracts knowledge.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience in a trading or/and shipping environment.

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or shipping; or equivalent experience

  • Familiar with basic financial concepts.
