Job Purpose and Impact

The Location Data Owner Consultant, will drive value creation and operational efficiencies through data management, data exploitation, data enabled strategies and drive business outcomes through the use of Cargill’s global Location data, including over 6000 Plants, Elevators, Mines, Research Labs and Terminals.  In this role, you will help define and execute the Cargill Location data strategy in support of the organization's strategies, including  but not limited to Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics and Real-Estate.

Key Accountabilities

•    Execute an end to end Cargill Location data strategy and roadmap for the entire company, including the business cases, priorities and roadmaps.
•    Lead the cultural change in which data is viewed as a strategic business asset.
•    Implement definitions, standards, rules, patterns, hierarchies and use cases for Location Data across the data lifecycle from source to target.
•    Manage Cargill’s Location Data to ensure its of high quality and aligns to the definitions and standards.
•    Identify and analyze business needs and provide solutions to support business data requirements.
•    Identify solutions or improvements to business processes using new data technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
•    Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Broad understanding of the different functions would leverage Location Data, including Real Estate, Plant Operations and Transportation.
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Minimum of four years of related work experience in driving results through data-enabled strategies, data management and governance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Advise on recommending solutions or improvements to business processes using new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
•    Independently identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements and define scope and objectives to make business decisions.
•    Hands-on user experience using Informatica to master and manage Data
•    Knowledge of GS1 standards for Location Data, GLN
